Why did you start The Performer's Edge?

I started The Performer's Edge because I am passionate about the arts and what it contributes to the world. Performing has always been a huge part of my life and I know the value and joy that it brings to so many people. My goal is to support creatives and artists to be their best, so they are able to flourish and contribute fully to the world.

Who do you work with?

I work with anyone in the creative industries who relies on high performance to succeed. I work with singers, dancers, actors, drag queens, writers, conductors, directors, circus performers, composers, producers etc.

Where do you conduct your coaching sessions?

Accepted Answer

All of my coaching is done online. Covid 19 and the fact that performers are often moving from place to place, means I can work with you from wherever your work takes you. I work with people from all over the world including Australia, The United Kingdom, Europe and North America.

Should I sign up for group coaching or 1:1 coaching? What's the difference?

My group coaching course, Performance Dynamics will provide you with a thorough overview of the key performance psychology fundamentals for people in the arts. Together with creatives from all over the world, you will learn about the skills and knowledge that will help make you a better and more resilient performer.
 
1:1 coaching with me is far more focused on your specific goals and challenges. Together, we willl get really clear on what is important to you, what you want to achieve and together, we will build a plan for you to get there. 
 
If you are looking to build up your broader skills and knowledge around performance psychology in a supportive environment, then Performance Dynamics is for you. But if you're ready to invest in yourself, your development and work towards your dreams, then I would love to work with you 1:1.

How do you structure your 1:1 coaching?

Once we have identified exactly what you want to achieve, we will develop a coaching plan together. Each person will have different objectives in mind, so everybody's journey will be different. I will create a bespoke coaching program depending on your goals, so the length of time we coach together will be different from person to person.

Question 6

How do I know if The Performer's Edge is right for me?

I believe that in order for performance coaching to be succesful, the coach and the coachee need to be in alignment. To ensure that alignment is there, I always conduct a free 60 minute discovery session with any potential new clients. Aside from coaching, what other work do you do?

In 2021 I began facilitating educational sessions on performance psychology in schools, within arts organisations and in the corporate sector. I am also a frequent keynote speaker and guest on a variety of mediums where I have spoken about topics including confidence, self efficacy, performance psychology in the arts and psychological resilience for creatives.
